Amebiasis

Dear Colleagues, I’ve been working in Africa for more than 20 years treating the people in various African countries such as Mozambique, South Africa, Namibia, Libya, Rwanda, Cape Verde, Angola, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Senegal, I also worked in UAE, in the countries of former Soviet Union – Tadjikistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Moldova and other countries, I received the questions concerning doctor’s advise from. Your Fund on the whole is attending to AIDS, malaria, tuberculosis. These problems are very serious and global, but I’d like to draw your attention to one more global problem – parasitical amoeba Entamoeba Histolytica. Many authors write about her carriage, our scientific team doesn’t categorically agree with this statement. Why? Please read my last article, that was published within the bounds of Environmental International Congress in Russia. That’s why my idea has to do with the future work of the Global Fund on the whole. Our idea concerning the fight against Entamoeba Histolytica will prevent the rise of all described in the article diseases and the most important thing – it will make the society healthier. This work we have already begun in the Akwa Ibom State in Nigeria. We worked out the preventive measures against Entamoeba Histolytica and are still keeping on studying the efficient inexpensive prophylaxis. To realize our idea we have to destroy the old stereotypes about amebiasis, produced by Entamoeba Histolytica and to work out the global program of fighting against it on the basis of your Fund. There are no obstacles for it. It would be enough to come to an agreement with the Ministries of Health of all countries, then to publish the recommendations concerning control and infection preventive measures. To think over and to offer the efficient water and foodstuff disinfect methods. We recommend to consider this problem as a one of the most serious global ones at present, because the Entamoeba Histolytica causes the genitals affection and a number of irreversible processes in the organism. As in the case of tuberculosis the disease itself and its consequences represent a chronic slow inflammatory process, that causes grave consequences for mankind. In the future we’d like to take part in the working out of the new methods of the Entamoeba Histolytica cyst detection in the environment and to develop less toxic preparations used for its treatment and prophylaxis. Also we have to create the world map representing the areas where the most aggressive Entamoeba Histolytica form occures. And a lot of things like making the stations for water disinfection, handling of large lots of imported and exported production till emigratory control. Dr.SvistunovO.P.
