The suggestion to provide examples is a little difficult for the Global Fund, as we are very much trying to encourage countries to focus on their priorities and not be influences by a hypothetical example.

However, perhaps a very generic example (based on a goal of increasing ARV treatment) is:

e.g.,  Year 1:  1,000 people on ARVs                 Year 2:  1,000 + 1,000 people on ARVs (cumulative) etc.

Add up all the people who are currently expected to be on treatment from available resources

e.g.,  Year 1:  500 people                                   Year 2:  700 people etc

e.g.: Year 1: 500 people                                     Year 2:  1,300 people

Decide if the Round 8 funding request will be for the whole gap, and if not, then for how much.
