Thank you for your e-mail. In response to your request for the Round 8 documents, we would like to share with you the following information on the proposal submission process for the Global Fund:
1. Applicants may apply for funding from the Global Fund by responding to a 'Call for Proposals'. Round 8 was launched on 1 March 2008. All relevant forms are currently available on the Global Fund website (http://www.theglobalfund.org/en/apply/call8/).
2. We also suggest that you read our 'Frequently Asked Questions' to more fully understand the Global Fund’s proposal process. These 'FAQs' will be available beginning 17 March 2008 at the following website: http://www.theglobalfund.org/en/apply/call8/other/#1.
3. The Global Fund does not advertise proposal submissions in local newspapers, therefore we would suggest you contact your Country Coordinating Mechanism (CCM) as most likely the advertisement in the Sunday Times that you referred to was their call for participation in the proposal development process. If you are unsure of how to get in contact with your CCM, please inform us of the country in which you reside and we can provide contact details.
