Dear forum members,
Health and Development Networks (HDN) would like to inform you of our upcoming coverage at the 15th International AIDS Conference, as well as coverage available to you provided by the Kaiser Family Foundation and Medscape.
Especially during the Bangkok Conference, we work hard to fulfill our mission and meet our goals with all of you -- 30,000 people from all over the world, who actively participate and share information through our eForum discussions.
Conferences are often cost prohibitive and exclusive. By bringing together a team of country-based writers to serve as reporters (Key Correspondents), we both ensure that the voices of those working in the field are heard and that those people unable to attend these conferences are kept informed.
During the IAC 2004 in Bangkok, HDN will provide independent on-site commentary and analysis through a team of 55 Key Correspondents (KCs). KC coverage will be disseminated through the daily Conference newspaper (The Correspondent), as well as through this and our other eForums.
This eForum will publish news reports relevant to Global Fund aspects in HIV/AIDS. Topic-specific coverage will be distributed through each of the HDN-managed eForums.
The main eForum conference news channel will be the Break-the-silence Forum. To receive daily bulletins send an email to:
join-break-the-silence@eforums.healthdev.org
To read the entire on-site daily newspaper The Correspondent, go to:
www.hdnet.org or www.aids2004.org
In addition to HDN, the Kaiser Family Foundation and Medscape will also be providing free, internet based conference coverage (please see below). Extensive coverage of Conference news and events will also be available through the Conference website (www.aids2004.org).
We hope that you will benefit from the conference updates provided by HDN and our partners during the 15th International AIDS Conference and we look forward to receiving your thoughts, comments and opinions on the coverage provided.
Sincerely,
Your HDN eForum Moderation Team
