Participate in the Partnership Forum in Dakar, Senegal
(8-10 December 2008)
What should the Global Fund look like in 5 or 10 years time? What should it be doing? How should it be doing it? Who should be involved?
Until September 15, you can share your ideas and stand a chance to attend the Partnership Forum in Dakar. Those ideas can be as ambitious as you want and there is no restriction to the number of contributions you can make. They can be linked or not to the e-Forum 2008 discussion topics. If you have already posted recommendations in the e-Forum which you think would qualify, you should submit them to the Future Scenarios forum as well for them to be considered.
You can be as ambitious as you like. Submissions will not be assessed on the quality of writing, but against the following five broad criteria:
· Potential Efficiency
· Acceptability
· Possibility of implementation (how realistic?)
· Originality
· Innovation
Authors of the two most interesting ideas as selected by the Future Scenarios Panel will be invited to Dakar, Senegal to attend the Partnership Forum at the beginning of December. In Dakar, they will have the opportunity to present and discuss their ideas with a wider range of Civil Society representatives.
The Panel will consist of:

- Plus two other panelists to be announced
Guidelines for submitting your Future Scenarios ideas:
These guidelines are to help you structure your thinking and for the panel to get all the ideas submitted in roughly a similar format.
Simply tell us in your own words what your idea about the future of the Global Fund is? It may be something outrageous or wild, or it may be about specific structural or operational changes, It really does not matter as all ideas will be considered.
What we are interested in is what is locked up in your imagination. If all you have is a very vague idea at this stage please send it in!
To help you with this you could test your thinking against the following:
- What specific aspect of the Global Fund does you idea refer to? Is it about the Global Fund as a whole?
- What difference do you think your idea would make?
- What sort of things need to happen to make your idea a reality?
- How might any obstacle be overcome?
- Why should your idea be considered?
- Give a name to your Future Scenario
The final date for submissions is Monday 15th September. After this date ideas will not be accepted and there will be no exceptions.Please also note that for technical reasons and resource limitations, we are only able to accept ideas in one of the following four languages: English, French, Spanish or Russian.
