What is a blog?

MyGlobalFund offers blogs to all CCM, Principal Recipient, Sub-Recipient members and technical partners that have registered online. A blog is your own personal space where you can post your news, thoughts, web links and impacting stories on the work you do. It allows you to highlight your team's accomplishments and gives other members the chance to read about what you are doing in your country. This not only raises the profile of your work, but also inspires others who might like to do something similar where they live. As a result, members might contact you directly to glean from your experiences!

WHAT IS A BLOG?
A blog is a website, your personal website where you write things of interest to you, on an ongoing basis. It is a place for you to collect and share information with the MyGlobalFund.org community. Blogging is about connecting with and hearing from anyone who reads your work and wants to respond. Your new postings will always show at the top so that people who visit your blog can read the newest entries.

WHAT SHOULD A BLOG LOOK LIKE?
There are really no rules on how a blog should look, but to make it easier to read, you may want to consider different tips when creating your own.

WHAT INFORMATION SHOULD I INCLUDE?
TIP 1  Anything related to your work that you think is a valuable contribution for other members of the platform. This can be something you wish to reflect on, your personal experience and knowledge stories related to your work, lessons learned and any other related topic. At the end of your posting, you may want to include a link to more information on the subject, write a sentence about the work you do in general, or add a link to your biography within the platform.

IS THERE ANYTHING I SHOULD BEAR IN MIND?

TIP 2  Think about the audience that you are writing for. Your blog can be formal, or informal.

WHAT ELSE CAN BE DONE?
 TIP 3
- You can include photos, in two simple steps (add link [pop up in new window] to instructions).

- You can leave your comments on other members’ blogs.

- Visitors to your blog can comment on what you have written.

WHAT ARE TAGS?
Tags are key words that best describe the content of your posting. Tagging your posts allows everyone to find the information they are looking for faster. It also adds to the richness of the community’s contributions, as similar postings can be linked together.

GETTING STARTED
The fastest way to understand how to blog is to TRY IT OUT.We have worked hard to make it as easy as possible for you:.
  1. Log in to the MyGlobalFund site
  2. Click on the “My Page” tab,
  3. Click on “New Post” under the “Manage My Blog” section.
  4. You will then have to choose a title for your blog article, write the article itself (it may be very short, in English, French, Spanish or Russian), add a few keywords (tags) that best describe the content of your article
  5. Click on the “Publish” button, and you're done!
If you have any questions, or problems, don’t worry! Just contact us through the Support Team section and we will be happy to help you, and explain any of these steps on blogging or give you additional tips.

The 5th Regional meeting of MENA Global Fund in tunisia has been a unique and interesting experience. The host country is strikingly effiecient, at least from an outsider perspective.I have met and shared ideas with very many wounderful people. In short this is a memerable experience.

It is realy an intersting time. It has provided an opportunity to meet people from different countries, different sectors and to have access to their experiences.
